David began his racing career in 2013 with the Skip Barber Racing school by competing in the IndyCar academy shootout. Despite having only driven a racer on two previous occasions, he managed to finish fifth of thirty drivers.
Showing clear signs of early tact for the sport, he moved into karting to continue his career.
Spending two years in karts with Trinity Karting Group, David finished third in Tag Senior, taking many pole positions, podiums, and wins along the way.
After two years in karting, the transition back to cars came with Team Pelfrey in the F1600 series.
With an early goal of just learning as much as possible, the 2017 season quickly became much more, earning recognition amongst America’s top-10 best young drivers by being nominated for the Team USA Scholarship.
David was nominated as a finalist among all drivers in the United States to be apart of the final six drivers to compete for the scholarship.
In 2018, David is taking everything he has learned and applying it to the Mazda Road to Indy in the USF2000 Championship with championship winners Newman Wachs Racing.
Here, the best drivers from across the globe compete to advance their careers all the way to IndyCar.
In addition to racing, in May of 2018, David will be graduating from Miami University with a major in Bioengineering and a co-major in pre-medical studies. Be a part of the journey by following along on social media!
